This accessibility statement applies to: 'https://www.poisoncentre.be'.

Compliance status

This website partially complies with the accessibility requirements according to the European Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Non-accessible content

All content on the website is accessible, but there may be limitations for people with visual impairments. We are happy to assist this target group by phone on our free number 070 245 245 and we are looking forward to finding solutions to make the website more accessible for persons with visual impairments.

Preparation

An external accessibility audit, including a detailed analysis, was carried out by BOSA. This audit was an in-depth analysis. You can read the report here (in Dutch, French or German):

https://scan.accessibility.belgium.be/fr/report/2021/www.centreantipoisons.be

Based on this report, we were able to identify the main shortcomings of the website and implemented the following measures to increase accessibility:

  • Improving accessibility of the website via smartphone;
  • Making navigation elements and breadcrumbs more accessible;
  • Using titles and header elements in the correct hierarchical order.

Furthermore, we checked the accessibility of the website for different types of colour blindness (protanopla, deutanopla, tritanopla and achromatopsia) through the tool 'toptal' (https://www.toptal.com/designers/colorfilter).

Disproportionate burden

In order to address the concerns raised in the report, the Belgian Poison Centre is making efforts - within its capabilities - in the area of website accessibility.
