In Belgium, the placing on the market of pesticides for agricultural use is subject to approval by the FPS Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment.
For each application for a new authorisation, renewal of authorisation or major composition modification of a plant protection product, the authorisation holder shall compile a dossier for the poison centre. The Plant Protection Products and Fertilizers Service of the FPS Public Health, Safety of the Food Chain and Environment will pass this information on to the Belgian Poison Centre.
Instructions on how to notify your product to the Belgian Poison Centre, as well as information about the UFI-code, are available in the guidance document Notification to the Belgian Poison Centre.
Once you have obtained the authorization, you will need to pass the commercial label of the product on to the Belgian Poison Centre.
